  Please note: this is not "copy the map excercise."
Students are given a blank outline map of ancient India and then asked to locate major elements of India's geographical and poltical elements utilizing 9 different maps of various scales from 3 textbooks.
While students investiagte in pairs, each student is responsible for rendering their own map.
One of the objectives is for students to appreciate how India's vast & varied topography contributed to the development of different cultures and dialects. Later in the unit we will explore how Buddhism spread around India and then up to China.
